First Day of School
Today was the first day of school for most North Texas schools, including Arapaho Classical Magnet (Keilani and Masina's school) and Math, Science, Technology Magnet (Keil's school).
This is a picture of the kids just infront of the house in their uniforms. Everyone was excited to get back to school and it was fun seeing Masina going to school as well.

Bike Riding in the Morning
A few pictures from Masina riding her bike around this morning in the front of the house. I think she was happy that the older two were not there to steal her thunder or to tell her what to do or where or how to ride her bike. Yesterday they all rode around in the cul-desac area in the front during the rain. But the older two kept telling her what she could or couldn't do. I saw how frustrated she was with their instructions. So I also saw how uninhibited her riding was this morning.
I had an 8am meeting that she waited patiently to end before she could go outside. So as soon as my meeting was over at 8:50am, she hopped on her bike and off she went so I could watch her.
Anyway, I captured some of her funky expressions and her enjoyment. She even did a few things where she rode right next to the curb and followed it all the way along. At times I thought she would run into the two parked cars in her way but she navigated her way through both vehicles with ease. There were two times I thought she wouldn't make a corner but she negotiated both corners without trouble as opposed to yesterday.
She was unable to negotiate a corner in the backyard yesterday and she took out a good chunk of skin from her elbow. We bandaged it up and off we went to basketball practice and there she is this morning riding and hooraying again.
Okay have fun.

Dublin Tx
We took a trip to Dublin Tx. You ask "what for" well it is the home of the first and origonal Dr. Pepper bottling plant. It was started in old Doc's soda shop which is where they still have the soda shop and Dr. Pepper is on tap. We ordered root beer, Dr Pepper, and a Shirley temple and WOW they were the best soda's we have ever had. I thought it would taste just like a regular soda but it didnt. WOW is the only way to describe!! We took a tour of the plant where they still bottle 2 times a month. To start the tour they hand out COLD bottles of Dr. pepper right off the bat. My kind of tour. It was fun to see the machinery and learn about how Dr. pepper became so popular. I recomend this stop if you are ever in the area. It is worth a half day of family fun!

Boogey boarding in Big D!
Okay it was way cool today. The kids and I hung out and just boogey boarded on the slip n' slide. We soaped down the underside of the boards like waxing the top side of the boards. It was fun. We even knee boarded. We fell off a few times but for the most part, we stayed on and had way too much fun until Keil broke his board. Enjoy!
